The Conservatorium van Amsterdam

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA) is the largest and most diverse conservatory in the Netherlands. With outstanding teachers at its disposal, and situated in one of Europe’s most vibrant musical centres, the conservatory takes full advantage of Amsterdam’s multifaceted musical climate. The CvA offers courses that range from classical music, jazz and early music to opera, latin and popular music. Thanks to the many special projects, the curriculum guarantees a strong link between theory and practice. In both the bachelor’s and the master’s degree programmes, students have ample opportunity to make individual choices. The CvA’s jazz department is the largest in Europe.

 

Copenhagen Jazz Festival

Taking place in July, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival offers an impressive array of international and Danish jazz names, dispersed over the entire city at a record number of venues. The program includes more than 1,000 concerts held over a ten day period.

 

Europe Jazz Network

Europe Jazz Network (EJN) is a Europe-wide association of producers, presenters and supporting organisations who specialise in creative music, contemporary jazz and improvised music created from a distinctly European perspective. The membership includes 78 organisations (Festivals, clubs and concert venues, independent promoters, national organisations) in 24 European countries.

 

Jazz Services Limited

Jazz Services is the UK’s primary promoter and developer of home-grown jazz. Jazz Services provides a voice for jazz promoting its growth and development by offering services in information, education, touring, communications, marketing and publishing.

 

London Jazz Festival

The London Jazz Festival has grown to be not only London’s largest city-wide music festival, but one of the major international jazz events. Taking place in November, the 10 day festival features commissions, premieres, a learning and participation programme that opens the doors on jazz, and an extensive club programme and numerous free events. Created and produced by international live music producers, Serious, the London Jazz Festival is now in its 18th year. Whether you’re a jazz enthusiast, or new to the scene, the Festival offers something for everyone and has grown into one of London’s landmark music events.

 

Maijazz Festival

Maijazz is an International Jazz Festival based in Stavanger. The festival began in 1988 and has grown to be one of the city’s most popular events. Mai Jazz presents concerts by local, national and international jazz artists at venues throughout the city.

 

MICA – Music Austria

MICA – Music Austria is the professional partner for musicians in Austria. It was founded in 1994 as an independent, non-profit association, on the initiative of the Republic of Austria. The goals of the association are: the provision of information on musical life in Austria as well as research in the field of contemporary music, the support of contemporary musicians living in Austria with advice and information, the distribution of local music through promotion in Austria and abroad and the improvement of general conditions for musicians in Austria. All services of mica are free of charge for local musicians. The website www.musicaustria.at includes easy accessible information on counselling topics such as founding a label, live performances, record production, self-promotion, and also many external information links about music.

 

Muziek Centrum Nederland

Music Center the Netherlands is the resource and promotion center for the professional music world. Its mission is to propagate and enhance the position of Dutch musical life, both nationally and internationally.
